Most meetings of the Philadelphia Academy of Surgery are held at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia located at 19 S. 22nd Street, Philadelphia, PA.

COVID-19: The Philadelphia of Academy is committed to keeping everyone who attends a meeting safe. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, we will keep fellows and guests updated on changes in our meeting structure/requirements. When necessary, meetings will be held virtually.  For in-person meetings, proof of vaccination (with accompanying photo ID) is required. 

The meetings begin with a social hour starting at 6:00 PM, with a dinner served at 6:30 PM. The scientific program will begin around 7:15 PM, followed by a brief business meeting.

The John R. Clarke Lectureship presented by Patricia L. Turner, MD, MBA, FACS, from Chicago Illinois, University of Chicago Medical Center. Dr. Tuner holds a General Surgery appointment at University of Chicago Medical Center and is the Executive Director of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) in Chicago.
